Description
The Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 White takes the most widely played grip compound in golf and wraps it in a seamless 360-degree pattern. It is a full-swing grip, at home on irons, wedges, hybrids and woods alike.
What the 360 design actually does
A traditional grip has a seam and alignment markings that have to be lined up when it is installed. The 360 version removes both, so the grip looks and feels identical no matter how it is rotated. That is most useful on adjustable drivers, fairway woods and hybrids, where changing a loft or lie setting turns the shaft and takes the alignment marks with it. It also makes installation more forgiving on every other club in the bag.
Features
- Seamless 360-degree design: no alignment marks to line up, at any orientation
- Tour Velvet compound: the tacky, non-slip rubber that has been a tour standard for decades
- All-weather traction: dependable in dry heat and in the rain
- Moderate tackiness: secure without feeling sticky in the hands
- White finish: a cleaner, more modern look than the standard black
- Sizes: Standard and Midsize
Choosing between Standard and Midsize
Midsize adds roughly 1/16 of an inch to the diameter over Standard. Golfers with larger hands, or anyone whose hands tire or ache through a round, often find the thicker profile more comfortable. If you are unsure, Standard is what most sets come with from the factory.
Feel and durability
Tour Velvet earns its reputation on balance rather than on any single standout trait. The rubber is soft enough to be comfortable through a full round, firm enough to give clear feedback at impact, and durable enough to last a full season of regular play. White grips do show wear and dirt more readily than black, but they clean up well with warm water and a little dish soap.
